Moving from CapCut
Switching tools is a pain, so here's what actually matters.
Bring your original clips, not your exports
Upload the raw clips from your phone. Cutleap edits from the originals, so videos you've already exported with captions burned in aren't a good starting point.
Bring your look
Your logo, fonts and colours. Set them once in Cutleap and every video uses them. Check the settings page once you're in.
Leave your projects behind
CapCut projects don't open in Cutleap. Anything you've half-finished stays in CapCut until you finish it there or re-upload the clips to start fresh.
What changes
- No timeline. You type what you want instead of dragging.
- Captions come automatically. You don't place them by hand.
- Fewer effects and templates. On purpose.
- Several versions from one request. Useful when you don't know what hook will work.
What to do on day one
- Upload three clips you already have.
- Type "make a TikTok from this, captions on, cut the pauses."
- Compare the result to one you'd made in CapCut.
If you miss the control, keep CapCut for the videos that need it. See Cutleap vs. CapCut.
