Why this works
People buy what they can picture using. A short demo that shows the problem, the product in action and the result does more than a polished brand video, and it’s easy to film on a phone.
The prompt, in three sizes
Start small. Add detail only when the result isn’t what you wanted.
Quick
Make a 30-second demo from these clips.
Better
Make a 30-second demo video. Start with the problem, show the product being used, then the result. Keep my voice-over and add captions.
Full brief
Make a 30-second vertical demo (9:16) from these clips. Beats: - 0–3s: the problem, shown or said in one line - 3–20s: the product being used, close-ups, cut every 2–3 seconds - 20–27s: the result - 27–30s: where to get it, in one short line Rules: - Use my voice-over where I have it. If a section has none, add short on-screen text. - Keep it looking like it was filmed on a phone. No zooms or flashy transitions. - Add light background music under my voice, ducked when I speak.
If it comes out wrong
Send one fix at a time, in plain words.
Looks too much like an ad
“Remove the music and the logo. Keep it raw.”
Demo part drags
“Cut the demo section to 12 seconds. Keep the three clearest shots.”
Can’t see the product
“Use the close-up clips for the demo. Drop the wide shot.”
Tip
Film the product being used from close up, in daylight, without talking. Then record the voice-over separately in a quiet room.
